Sexual dysfunction is a serious health and quality-of-life issue for the sufferer and his or her partner. It can even extend beyond intimacy and potentially lead to strained relationships between couples. When a person is constantly waking because of sleep apnea, the body cannot properly produce and regulate sex hormones.

Erectile and Sexual Dysfunction and Sleep Apnea

  1. Sleep apnea can interfere with testosterone levels in men and women, which causes sexual dysfunction

  2. Men with sleep apnea are two times more likely to have ED

  3. Women with sleep apnea are very likely to suffer from sexual dysfunction

Men with sleep apnea are twice as likely to have erectile dysfunction (ED) as those without. Sleep apnea treatments can improve the effects of erectile dysfunction.

Sleep apnea can also have a negative impact on a woman’s intimate life. Women with untreated sleep apnea are at very high risk for sexual dysfunction, such as reduced desire and arousal or even pain during intercourse.

Treat your Sleep Apnea and Control Your ED and Sexual Dysfunction

Diagnosing and treating sleep apnea can help resolve erectile or sexual dysfunction, which will have a positive effect on a person’s quality of life.
